LIAONING WHOWIN FC
Liaoning Whowin FC are based in Shenyang, Liaoning Whowin FC and play their home games at the Shenyang Olympic Sports Centre Stadium. Liaoning Sport Technology Group and Huludao Hongyun Group Co. Ltd. are the majority stakeholders in the club. In 1989-90, Liaoning won the Asian Club Championship beating Nissan Yokohama and becoming the first Chinese club to win Asian Championship trophy. In 1994, Liaoning reorganised themselves to become professional and compete in China’s first professional top tier. The team was originally founded in 1953. Since then the team has won several honours. According to Forbes, Liaoning Whowin FC is the 10th most valuable team in China valued at $67m. They collected an estimated $14m through revenue in 2015.
MANAGER
Liaoning are currently managed by a player who are currently managed by a former player of theirs –Ma Lin. This is his third stint as manager of Liaoning FC having been at the helm from 2008-2013 and guiding them to the 2009 China League One title and in 2003-04. His current stint at the club began in 2015. He was a prolific striker during his playing days. He also represented China about 50 times and scored 21 goals. He previously managed fellow CSL sides like Jiangsu Sunning and Chongqing Lifan.
INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS
Nigerian Anthony Ujah played for FC Koln, FSV Mainz and Werder Bremen in Germany before securing a move to China in 2016. He played for Nigeria a handful of times and was part of their squad for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup.
James Chamanga is the current captain of Liaoning FC. He has been with the club since 2013 and has an impressive scoring record. He previously played for China’s most successful club Dalian Shide and made an impressive 121 appearances there. He is currently contracted with Liaoning until 2018. Chamanga was also part of Zambia’s victorious 2013 AFCON team.
Assani Lukimya is the second former Werder Bremen player to have signed with Liaoning FC. He previously played for Dusseldorf in the Bundesliga. He made just 3 appearances for the Congolese National Football Team.
Robbie Kruse played for Bayer Leverkusen, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart in Germany. He played for Melbourne and Brisbane in his home country. He is just 1 appearance shy of reaching the 50 cap mark for Australia.
James Holland is another Kangaroo signed with Liaoning. He has made 15 appearances for Australia and was part of the 2014 FIFA World Cup team. The Aussie has played for AZ Alkmaar, Sparta Rotterdam, Austria Wien and Adelaide United.

Captain James Chamanga is the top scorer for Liaoning Whowin FC having found the back of the net 39 times in 90 matches. Hangchao Yu is second on the list with 27 goals. Current player Xu Yang is joint second with 27 goals.
RIVALRIES
Liaoning Whowin has had two major rivalries with Dalian FC and Shenyang. Geographically, all three were based in the Liaoning Province and the matches between them are known as the Liaoning Derby. The rivalry with Shenyang all but ended when the club moved to Changsa.
