Chinese Super League News

The AWOL Ramires Finally Returns

Many have been wondering where the Brazilian, Jiangsu Suning star has been or what he has been up to. With minimal contact Ramires made it extremely hard for anyone to make a trace of him.

However that all changed recently with him returning to the club featuring in a reserve team game against Guangzhou R&F. Ramires featured for 65 minutes and Jiangsu Suning reserves won 2-0 continuing their fine reserve form.

With Martins Out For The Rest Of The Season, Could Ba Be Sent For An CSL Comeback

Some hugely gutting news for Shanghai Shenhua. Their star forward Obafemi Martins was announced to be out for the rest of the season sparking fears from fans with a weakened frontline.

However, Shenhua have been looking at alternate options and one name stands out from the rest.

Demba Ba, currently featuring in the Turkish League is definitely a main target for Shenhua, the man of course previously playing for the club.

If this was to come to fruition though, Shenhua will have to wait until the European summer transfer window.

Fan Favourite Mbia Off To The US?

Former Hebei China Fortune player and as mentioned above “Fan Favourite” Stephane Mbia looks set to be flying off to the US of A as Atlanta United looks favourite to sign the Cameroonian.

Mbia, who is currently in Spain is in this situation as his previous club Hebei China Fortune brang in Argentine tough man Javier Mascherano as one of their foreign players leaving Mbia outside of the alotted allowance of players.

Ugly Scenes In Reserve Match As Evergrande Suspend Two Of Their Own

Scenes completely out of the ordinary in China broke out during a reserve team fixture, even more surprisingly it was from two members of the same side.

Guangzhou Evergrande reserve players Wang Junhui and Situ Hualong had an on pitch altercation after words were exchanged between one another.

Since this, Evergrande has suspended both of them from their wage and will not be allowed to train with the squad. For how long however is unclear.

CFA Decline Copa America Offer

The Chinese FA officially declined to offer to participate in the 2019 Copa America. Their reasoning is exactly the same as before when they were offered to be in it in 2015.

The reason being they’ll have 2022 World Cup Qualifiers throughout 2019 and the CFA don’t won’t anything getting in the way of that.
